On the theme of 'anti-decoration'

Whilst thinking about this idea of applying something to an object that makes it less visually appealing, I remembered seeing this from Dominic Wilcox
http://www.dominicwilcox.com/stickers.html

These rust stickers are sold as an 'anti-theft device' to deliberately make a bike or car look less attractive.

Another idea I came up with were satellite dishes. These are obviously not put up for the sole purpose of looking bad, they are, however, an example of something being applied to a building and uglyfying it.

I have found some examples of people trying to deal with this problem:

A camoflague sticker. Bit of an issue with matching pattern, size, colour of bricks and only works from one direction.
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2008/06/camouflage-bric/ here is an article from Wired about it. Which lead me to this company: http://www.satellitedishsticker.com/ that allow you to 'pimp' your dish.

Now why wouldn't you want to do that?!

Painted satellite dishes. The work of a Dutch artist working with school children in Amsterdam. If you want to see more examples of some of the fabulous things that people have done to/with satellite dishes around the world then
