Uglification

So I was thinking about reasons that you might have to make something deliberatly ugly.
1. repel criminals, making an item less attractive to thieves (as in Dominic Wilcox's stickers)
2. for a woman to make herself appear less attractive to avoid unwanted attention from the male sex (or vice versa)
3. so that celebrities don't get recognised
4. to feel less awkward in front of those (friends) that are less successful than you
